I can't access that hidden "permission" setting on Win 10 desktop. I stopped using Instagram a while ago anyway so whatever.

So glad I deleted it years ago before this shit started. Never really liked it for its stupid algorithm, people who followed you just for a follow back and if you didn't post almost every day they unfollowed you, shadowbans of interesting content of profiles I followed not to mention the many porn bot that kept adding me to their crappy groups via DMs. Fuck you IG and Meta in general.

I don’t have instantgrams or headlibro, but it is still a very stinky poo poo thing of Meta to do, I’ve seen a bunch of talented artist on their, so ye, I’ve always thought of Meta as bad and very screwy company.

I am not in the least surprised. And I'm certain Meta will already have legal loopholes and technical workarounds in place for cases of "uncooperative" users. They just won't 'tell' anybody about it - because they wouldn't have any interest in drawing attention to it.
At this point you just cannot hope to be/become an artist and keep an account registered at DeviantArt, Twitter/"X", anything related to Meta... Those site have been acting anti-user since forever... Same goes for Discord, etc.
