To anyone that uses instagram just for posting your art anywhere, I would highly recommend you read this because this is urgent.
so back in June 26th, Instagram updated their Meta privacy policy where they will be using your photos and videos without consent, and use them to train their Meta AI for instagram and Facebook. This is a big, massive, stinky poo poo move from Meta and something that shouldn’t be allowed to happen in under any circumstance.
in most cases, some would recommend
to delete everything on their instagram if you don’t want your data being collected.
BUT…!
there is also another way.
if you really want to post your work on insta without having the trained AI use your photo or video data without permission.
Art Growth Club has a fantastic explanation on how to make sure Meta Doesn’t collect your data so give it a watch while you can.
also I find it real shady for how deep Meta hid the option to delete any personal info from 3rd parties. Hmm…
but anywho, thanks for reading this and stay safe out there.

I am not in the least surprised. And I'm certain Meta will already have legal loopholes and technical workarounds in place for cases of "uncooperative" users. They just won't 'tell' anybody about it - because they wouldn't have any interest in drawing attention to it.
At this point you just cannot hope to be/become an artist and keep an account registered at DeviantArt, Twitter/"X", anything related to Meta... Those site have been acting anti-user since forever... Same goes for Discord, etc.
